The Team
We are a small team of IT professionals who's main focus is you the customer. We all strive to give the best, professional and personal advice. Our aim is to give you easy contact to ourselves, no call centre, you have our mobile phone numbers. Although we do not work for you we like to feel part of the company and have a friendly relationship when we visit site.
We all come from various backgrounds, as you can read by clicking on our names on this page to read a quick summary of our career. Our slogan "Together we make IT happen" is exactly what we mean. We want to work with you to make your IT happen and work.

From an early age I had been interested in IT, technology and gadgets. For those that know me it is no surprise I made a career in IT. Having left school and college with IT qualifications I joined an international chemical company (BASF Plc) and was their IT support person. From there I joined the Cruise Line company Fred. Olsen where I held various positions. My aim was always to work for a computer reseller. I left Fred. Olsen and joined an IT reseller where I was Technical Director for a number of years.
I wanted to start and run my own business. This is what I did in 2007 with the start of 3it Ltd. The sole aim was to offer a personable, friendly but professional service. This is what was important for the larger companies I worked for, and I felt this is often so lacking in the IT support business.

I left school and completed a 5 year indentured electrical apprenticeship with the British Steel Corporation. I spent another 15 years in the electrical industry (11 running my own business) before becoming dissolusioned with electrical work and deciding I would like to move into the I.T. industry. I decided to complete a MCSE qualification using an I.T. company and their facilities in Ipswich. This is where I met Steve Mott for the first time (lucky me)! They offered me a position to do cabling work for them. Once I gained my qualifications and experience I moved to an I.T. company nearer to where I live in Bury St Edmunds. Having run my own business I was always open to the idea of running my own business again, which duly happened in 2007 when Gary, Steve and I started 3it Ltd.I love the variety of the job, from installing servers and pcs to cabling and CCTV systems to fault finding.

As you may guess from my name I am married to Gary! Those that know him know how much fun that must be (Not!). I am a fully trained chef but did not like the unsociable hours. I did not return to catering after having our son Harry.
Once 3it was setup and became established I offered to help out with the admin and accounts. 4 years later I appear to still be helping out! Most of my time is spent predicting what I should do as Gary has not told me. Asking the same question more than once as I know he is not listening to me!
But I do have fun when at work especially if Gary is at a customers and not in the office!

After leaving school I joined a Secretarial Company, where I loved the variety of tasks in the clerical world! I then worked for the largest Contract Chair Distributor in the UK for 12 years where I was the Senior Sales Co-ordinator.
I then decided to start a fresh with a new challenge and joined 3it on 2012 where the fun really started……..!I love variety and 3it certainly provides that!
From Marketing to Accounts I dabble in it all and try to keep these men in order! Looking forward to many more prosperous years with them.

From an early age I have been interested computing and technology, always wanting to have the latest technology that is available. I have always enjoyed building websites throughout the 2 years at school and the 2 years at college doing IT, it was something I wanted to do, as well as fixing computer issues. In 2013 3it gave me the opportunity to do both of these things. The great thing is that you don’t know what you are going to be doing during the day, anything can happen. I hope there are many more years building websites and IT troubleshooting to come, with 3it.

I’ve always had an interest in IT and for several years knew this is something I would like to do when I was older. Once I left school I already knew what I wanted to do and in 2013 I was lucky enough to get an apprenticeship with 3it as a Trainee Computer Consultant. I have found my time with 3it extremely valuable and have found the many combined years of experience all members of staff bring to the company invaluable. The most enjoyable part of my job is the variety one day I can troubleshooting a customer’s issues the next I can be assisting the installation of CCTV cameras on an industrial site. 3it offers services from most areas of IT and more which mean each day can be a new challenge and a new learning curve.
